According to a current England captain’s club colleague, nobody in north London would have any problem with the striker if the player ends up staying.
Harry Kane is still pursuing a move to Manchester City, but Tottenham teammate Davinson Sanchez told him that everyone is on his side in north London.
The current window has seen speculation rampant about a record-breaking transfer for a 28 year-old striker. Reigning Premier League champions at Etihad Stadium are on the market for another No.9.
Pep Guardiola has narrowed his sights on Kane but Spurs are reluctant to sell and Sanchez said there would be no division in Nuno Espirito Santi’s camp if a magical presence is missing out on a switch.
What has been said?
Colombian defender Sanchez told reporters about the endless rumours surrounding Kane’s future that “Harry is best No.9 in all of the world.” It’s clear. They don’t understand football if they say otherwise.
“I’m his teammate so I can’t get into the details because it’s a situation being discussed between Harry, the people above and it’s an issue that’s being dealt with between Harry and those above. We are here to support him, and if anything happens, we will always be there for him.”
He said, “If he gets the chance to join us on the pitch, then of course he will help us. There’s no question about that.” Everyone here is aware of his professionalism and can’t help but be impressed by how talented he plays, how well he gets along with people and how professional he acts.
We are on his side, and we will support any decision he makes. He gives everything for the club. He’s a great player, and a great captain.
“I could go on, I won’t stop thinking about how great he is as an individual.”
Pablo Zabaleta, a former City fullback, believes Kane is the right time to take his talents to the next level. He told the PA News Agency that while it’s not clear if Kane has the funds, he will still be able to play for City.
He’s at the right time to move to another club and experience a new kind of football. We all know Kane’s quality if you want trophies. (He) knows that Spurs has done enough and wants to move on to City.
What’s the most recent news on Kane?
Spurs have no obligation to sell a valuable asset since they have him bound to a contract until 2024.
Kane stated repeatedly that he would like to land major silverware at this stage in his career. However, he isn’t forcing his way through the doors.
Nuno, the new Spurs boss believes that a player with 221 goals for Spurs can be retained in his current environment.
After a 1-0 win over City, the Portuguese said to reporters: “Harry [is] training with us. He worked on Sunday morning. And he’s getting ready for helping the team.
“We don’t expect anything to happen before the transfer deadline, but we must be prepared to act if needed because football can change until the 31st.
Pep Guardiola also remained coy about his pursuit Kane’s attention after the contest. He brushed aside questions about a lack of firepower on his title-winning team. However, anything could happen if there is a recruitment window.
