Manchester City Are Thinkinghinking About Signing The Centre-back Sergio Ramos.
According to estimates by several news-collecting agencies, Manchester City are considering a move for Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos on a Two years Contract.
The Spanish defender, who has over 100 goals for Real Madrid, could leave the club later this summer as his contract expires at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, City will try to sign a new center back, because Eric Garcia will leave for Barcelona this summer. Reports say that.
Manchester City believe a new centre-back could be on the horizon, with some reports claiming that Aymeric Laporte could depart for good, but they will only make a move if there is an opportunity to further their title bid.
And according to ESPN, City boss Pep Guardiola is in awe of Ramos’ leadership qualities and will offer the 35-year-old a contract should he not renew at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Ramos would reportedly be offered a two-year deal at the Etihad Stadium with the option of either a third year should performances be of an acceptable level, or a move to City’s MLS sister club New York City FC.
The report also claims a meeting is set up for Friday between Ramos’ representatives and Real president Florentino Perez, in order to resolve the Spaniard’s future.
The defender is said to be after a two-year deal to remain in Spain, but Real tend to give only one-year rolling contracts to players over the age of 30.
Ramos has spent the last 16 seasons in the Spanish capital with Real and has led them to five LaLiga titles, four Champions League trophies and four more Club World Cups.
But the veteran defender has struggled with several long-term injuries over the course of the season, which forced Spain manager Luis Enrique to leave him out of the country’s European Championships squad for the summer.
